We would like to extend a very warm welcome to Cushendall Golf Club and hope you will enjoy playing golf and socialising here as much as we do.
In your welcome pack you will find some information to help you settle into the Club. The “How Do I?” section should cover most of your initial queries but if you are unsure of anything please do not hesitate to ask any member for help. Further information can also be found on our website www.cushendallgolfclub.com. You should register for the "Members Only” section of the website which will allow you to access chairperson’s reports, Club finances etc. Storing your email here will ensure you receive all e-newsletters from the Club. Also here you will find details of all social events in the Club as well as match fixtures etc.
Please complete the enclosed Personal Details form and return to the office at your earliest convenience. This information is for Club officials and will only be used in the event of an emergency.
Club Constitution and Rules (April 2011 incl. Amendments Jan17)
The Club Constitution and Rules outlines the governance structure of Cushendall Golf Club and underpins the rules and principles to which all members are expected to adhere.
Course Health and Safety Procedures
The safety of our members and visitors is paramount. A copy of our current Course Health and Safety Policy has been included which you are advised to read and observe. A copy of this procedure is also included in the Course section of the website.
Cushendall Golf Club provides Personal Accident and Personal Liability Insurance through GOLFGUARD for its members and paying visitors. The GOLFGUARD policy does not cover your clubs & equipment etc. Please check your household insurance as it may cover these automatically, alternatively you may wish to avail of GOLFCARE insurance. Any individual member can avail of this through the club for £22 per annum.
To sign up for GOLFCARE please contact Bronagh in the office. Full details of the scheme are included in the ‘Members Only’ section of the website.
You should keep your R&A Rules book in your golf bag as you may need to refer to a rule when you are out on the course. If you are unsure of the basic rules of golf, please try to learn these or play with experienced players who will be able to clarify any concerns you encounter. Other local rules and byelaws will be printed on the back of your scorecard or displayed in the locker rooms.
Club Bag Tag / Membership Sticker/ Membership Card
Your bag tag and annual membership sticker should be affixed to your golf bag as this helps to identify our members on the course. Your membership card should also be retained.
The fixture card provides information on all club competitions which you will be able to enter when you have an official CONGU Handicap. The fixture card also provides contact details for committee members. All fixtures are posted in the ‘Club Diary’ on our website.
Smart Card and Access Fob
Your smartcard shows your personal 8-digit GUI/ILGU number which you will need to register on the web system and book tee times online. You will also need this number to enter competitions, submit your score and track your handicap. Using your smart card in the bar will entitle you to 15% discount on drinks. Please email your 8 digit membership number to email@example.com. This will allow us to confirm your email address and add you to the email distribution list.
Your FOB will give you access to the front door of the Club and locker rooms.
Finally, please ensure you have provided your email address to the office for all future Club correspondence.
We wish you many happy years of golfing at Cushendall!
