CONGRATULATIONS are due to Fiona Delargy on her election as Secretary of the Ulster Region of Golf Ireland.

Fiona has held many positions within our club - she served as Secretary of our Ladies’ Branch for 8 years, was Lady Captain in 2007, a member of our Council and was also Junior Convenor.

In 2019 she took on a new role as Honorary Secetary of the Ulster Branch of the ILGU and now due to her commitment and diligence has been elected as Secretary of the Ulster Region of Golf Ireland.

Fiona - everyone at Cushendall Golf Club would like to wish you good luck and we have no doubt that your knowledge and experience of the game will be invaluable in your new role.

The Council, Men's and Ladies' committees and the members of Cushendall Golf Club regret the passing of our esteemed Past Lady Captain and Past Lady President Eilish Clerkin. Our deepest sympathies go to the Clerkin family with condolences to our members, Eilish's daughters Past Lady Captain Brid and Fiona and her son Patrick.

Funeral Arrangements - The funeral cortege will leave 61 Coast Road, Cushendall on Tuesday 25th August at 11.30am for funeral mass at 12 noon at St Marys Church Cushendall followed by burial in the graveyard afterwards.

The golf course will remain open on Tuesday as requested by the Clerkin family.  The family also wish to communicate that those who are due to play in the Garron Tower Past Pupils Golf Day at Moyola on Tuesday should play as planned.
